Cancellation & Refund Policy

Version 2026-09-29-v4 · effective 29/09/2026

Cancellation & Refund Policy 1. Scope This policy applies to CheckOpp paid services, including individually priced Individual Consultation services paid by invoice. Online card payment is not currently active. 2. Individual Consultation — before payment confirmation A consultation request, price proposal, client approval or issued invoice is not itself a completed payment and does not authorize paid work. Before payment is confirmed: - no paid Individual Consultation work has started; - the client may decline the proposed scope or price without charge; - an unpaid consultation/invoice flow may be cancelled; - ordinarily there is no payment to refund. 3. Individual Consultation — after payment confirmation but before work starts Payment confirmation and actual work start are recorded as separate lifecycle events. If payment has been confirmed but substantive Individual Consultation work has not started, the client may request cancellation. Where a refund is due, the payment will be refundable subject to mandatory applicable law, payment-processing or banking constraints where applicable, and any third-party or specialist costs already incurred with the client's prior approval and only to the extent they may lawfully be retained. 4. Individual Consultation — after work starts After substantive work has started, any refund is assessed according to the reasonable portion of work already performed, agreed third-party or specialist costs already incurred, and the remaining undelivered portion of the agreed scope. CheckOpp may retain the reasonable value of work already performed, subject to applicable law and mandatory consumer rights. 5. Individual Consultation — after deliverable delivery After the agreed deliverable has been delivered, a refund is not normally due merely because the client disagrees with the professional conclusion, decides not to proceed with the project, experiences a commercial outcome different from expectation, or later changes strategy or priorities. A refund, correction or re-performance may be considered where the agreed deliverable was not provided, the delivered work materially differs from the agreed scope, a technical failure prevented delivery, duplicate payment occurred, CheckOpp cannot perform or complete the agreed work, or another documented service failure occurred. 6. Scope changes by the client If the client materially changes the task, adds substantial new materials, adds a new objective, or expands the scope after approval, this is not automatically treated as a defect in the original service. CheckOpp may propose a revised scope, timeline and price. 7. Specialist and third-party costs Costs for independent specialists or other third parties may be incurred only after they have been disclosed to and approved by the client in advance for the specific Case. Such costs are not included automatically in the consultation price. Once they have actually been incurred, they may be non-refundable to the extent permitted by applicable law. 8. Other CheckOpp paid services For other paid CheckOpp services, a price proposal, client approval or issued invoice is not itself payment. Paid work is authorized only after payment is actually confirmed, unless a separate written agreement expressly provides otherwise. 9. Consumer withdrawal and start of performance Where mandatory consumer law requires an express request or consent to begin performance before the end of a withdrawal period, CheckOpp will obtain the required consent before the relevant work begins. For a consumer distance contract for services, Serbian consumer law provides a 14-day withdrawal period calculated from conclusion of the service contract. If the consumer asks CheckOpp to start performance during that period, CheckOpp will obtain the express request/consent required by applicable law on a durable medium. Where the consumer validly withdraws after requested performance has begun, any amount retained will be limited to what applicable law permits for the service actually performed. 10. Technical failure If a paid service cannot be completed because of a CheckOpp technical failure, CheckOpp may resume the same authorized work, repeat only the failed technical step, provide an equivalent service, or issue an appropriate partial/full refund. The preferred remedy should avoid charging the user twice for the same authorized work. 11. Duplicate or erroneous payment Confirmed duplicate or erroneous payments will be investigated and corrected. The existence of an invoice alone is not evidence that a duplicate payment occurred. 12. How to request a refund Send the Case ID, invoice number, payment reference and reason to office@koretskiy.rs. 13. Processing time Where a consumer validly exercises a statutory right of withdrawal, any refund due will be made without undue delay and no later than 14 days after CheckOpp receives the valid withdrawal notice, subject to any lawful deduction for service already performed at the consumer's express request. For duplicate payments or refunds granted because of a CheckOpp technical failure, CheckOpp will initiate the approved refund without undue delay, normally within 5 business days after approval; the time for the funds to appear depends on the bank or other payment rails involved. 14. Mandatory rights and governing framework This policy is based on the laws of the Republic of Serbia as the law governing the CheckOpp service relationship. Nothing in this policy excludes or limits consumer cancellation, withdrawal, refund or other rights that cannot lawfully be waived, including mandatory protections that may apply to a foreign consumer under otherwise applicable conflict-of-law rules. 15. Free public beta workflows Automated workflows explicitly marked as free during the CheckOpp public testing period are provided without payment. Because no payment is made for that free beta authorization, there is no payment to refund for the free beta workflow itself. Free beta access does not create a future entitlement to continued free service. The duration of the public testing period is not fixed in advance and is determined by testing results and platform readiness. Individual Consultation remains separately scoped and priced unless complimentary consultation credit is explicitly granted by OWNER. Complimentary credit is discretionary and is not automatically earned by submitting feedback.
