Confidentiality

Version 2026-09-28-v1 · effective 28/09/2026

Confidentiality Status: Draft for review — not yet published. 1. Case privacy CheckOpp treats non-public Case Materials as confidential service information and does not publish them as part of the normal service. 2. Access control Access to Case Materials is limited to the authorized user/account associated with the Case; CheckOpp personnel or operators who require access for service operation, support, security or quality control; experts specifically assigned or otherwise authorized to review the Case; and infrastructure/processing providers acting as necessary to deliver the service. 3. Expert access An expert account is intended to see only Cases assigned to that expert. Assignment can be revoked by the service owner. Experts must not use Case Materials for an unrelated purpose or disclose them outside the authorized review process. Experts who receive production Case access must accept the active CheckOpp Expert Confidentiality and Access Terms before production access is granted. Those terms impose Case-limited use, confidentiality, device/security duties, restrictions on third-party AI/tools, conflict-of-interest disclosure, incident reporting, deletion of temporary local copies, and continuing confidentiality after assignment ends. 4. Service providers Hosting, storage, authentication, AI/model and other technical providers may process Case data as necessary to provide their services. Such processing is addressed through the Privacy Policy and applicable provider arrangements. 5. Exceptions Confidentiality does not prevent disclosure where information is already lawfully public; the user authorizes disclosure; disclosure is reasonably necessary to enforce or defend legal rights; disclosure is required by law, court order or competent authority; or disclosure is necessary to investigate abuse, fraud or a material security incident. 6. User obligations Users should not submit third-party confidential information unless they have authority to do so. Users are responsible for keeping their own email account, devices and access credentials secure. 7. No special legal privilege Use of CheckOpp does not by itself create attorney-client privilege, patent-agent privilege or another legally protected professional privilege. 8. Separate NDA Where a Case requires stricter contractual confidentiality, the parties may enter into a separate NDA or engagement agreement. If that agreement expressly conflicts with this general notice, the specific written agreement governs to the extent of the conflict.
